  • Modes

They learn your jargon, names, and spelling.

  • A real keyboard too

Full QWERTY plus 3,930 emoji, one tap away.

Privacy built for a keyboard.

  1. You control the microphone

Recording happens only when you activate it, or when you turn on optional auto-start, and is always clearly indicated on screen.

  2. We don't read what you type

Ordinary keyboard input is not collected or sent to WhisperBoard. Your transcription history stays on your device.

  3. Your audio isn't kept by WhisperBoard

In managed mode, audio is encrypted in transit, processed for your request, and discarded. In BYOK mode, it goes directly to the provider you choose.

  4. Your data isn't our business model

No ads, no sale of personal data, no cross-app tracking, and no use of your audio or transcripts to train WhisperBoard's own AI models.

Use it free, your way.

  • WhisperBoard Services

Sign in with Google, free tier included.

  • Your OpenAI key

    No account needed.

  • Your own server

Point it at any self-hosted Whisper API.

Paid plans only add more transcription time. Credit packs never expire.

Quick questions

Does it work offline?

No. Transcription is cloud-based, on modern AI speech models. There is no offline mode.

Does it work in every app?

Yes. Anywhere a keyboard can appear: messages, email, notes, browsers, forms.

Does my voice leave my phone?

Yes, over an encrypted connection, and we are upfront about it. Audio is transcribed, then discarded. Never stored, never used for training.

Do I need an account?

Only for the built-in WhisperBoard service, a Google sign-in. Your own key or your own server needs no account.

Is it free?

There is a free tier, and using your own OpenAI key or server costs nothing beyond what those services charge.

Does it read what I type?

No. Regular typing stays on your device. The microphone runs only during a recording you start, or the optional auto-start setting if enabled.
